The processing of all steel radial tires requires a high level of precision. In order to ensure every part to fit the positioning accurately in the forming operation and to make the belt layer fit and formed under the condition that the belt layer basically maintains the design dimensions of finished tires, it’s necessary to use professional molding equipment and technology with high precision.
According to the processing order and orientation requirements of parts, combine the sidewall, inner liner,steel chafer, rubber, tread, belt, bead and other parts that meet the standard size of design together accurately and symmetrically, which is the process of processing technology of embryo to be vulcanized called tire forming process.
Forming process is a very important critical step in the whole manufacturing process of all steel radial tires. The quality of forming process is related to the internal and external quality as well as quality of use of finished products obviously.
For meeting the quality requirements of uniformity and compaction of all steel radial tires, following criteria must be paid attention to in the forming process :
The precision of molding machine.
The setting and stability of the molding machine’s process parameters.
The quality of semi-finished parts.
The level of workers’ operating skills.
The temperature and humidity environment of molding area.
The forming method of radial tires is classified as two kinds including one-stage building and two-stage building. Currently, for processing radial truck tires or radial car tires, all domestic and foreign tire manufactures adopt one-stage building or two-stage building.
