All steel radial tires require high processing accuracy. In order to ensure the accurate fitting and positioning of each part in the molding operation and to make the belt layer basically keep the design size of the finished tire, molding equipment and technology with special high precision should be used.
The process of curing embryo to be vulcanized is called tire forming process, which is precisely and symmetrically combined into an organic whole, such as steel wire subhead covering with rubber tire ring, belt layer and tread according to the processing order and positioning requirements of components.
The whole radial tire forming process is very important. The quality of molding process is obviously related to the internal and external quality and using quality of finished products.
In order to achieve the quality requirements of uniformity and compactness of all steel radial tires, the following requirements must be paid attention to in the molding process:
• Precision of molding machine.
• Setting and stability of molding machine process parameters.
• Quality of semi-finished parts.
• The operation technology level of molding workers.
• Temperature and humidity environment of molding area.
There are two molding methods for radial tires, namely one-step molding and two-step molding. At present, the forming process of radial truck tire or passenger car radial tire made by tire manufacturers at home and abroad adopts one-step or two-step molding.
